Unbound: A Cord Cutting Ceremony

Begin the new year of the horse with intention, clarity, and a deep sense of energetic freedom. This immersive workshop weaves together somatic breathwork, supportive restorative postures, and a powerful cord-cutting ceremony to help you release what no longer serves you and step forward with grounded purpose.

You’ll be guided through gentle somatic breathwork designed to awaken the body’s natural pathways of release, softening tension and opening space within. From there, you’ll settle into a deeply nurturing restorative pose, supported by blankets and bolsters, allowing the nervous system to unwind and the breath to anchor you fully into the present moment.

Yin

Yin Yoga provides a balance and compliment to your yang/vinyasa practice.

Practiced in a comfortably warm room, yin poses focus on the spine, hips, shoulders, joints and the deeper plastic tissues that connect and separate the bones and muscles.

The practice is on the floor {mostly}. And the experience requires time, depth and stillness.

Yin yoga is proven to maintain healthy joints, increase range of motion, create long, lean muscle tone + break down pesky scar tissue. In addition, yin yoga counters your daily stress + commotion with mental stillness and meditation.

We are excited to offer this beautifully curated weekend immersing ourselves into the practice of Yin Yoga to certified yoga teachers. Yin Yoga is a gentle yet powerful practice that focuses on long-held, passive poses that target the connective tissues of the body. This practice encourages deep relaxation and stimulates the flow of energy through the body, leaving practitioners feeling grounded and balanced.

During this 20-hour Continuing Education Weekend, we will dive deep into the philosophy and practice of Yin Yoga. Our experienced teachers will guide you through the ancient philosophy and principles exploring the essence of Yin Yoga, delving into its roots in Taoist philosophy, becoming familiar with the energetic body, and the importance of cultivating balance between yin and yang energies. Expand your knowledge of the unique anatomy of the connective tissues and how they respond to this gentle asana practice. You will learn how to guide students into safe and effective poses, focusing on proper alignment and alternative suggestions to keep the practice safe and accessible for all bodies.
Discover the art of constructing Yin Yoga sequences that create a harmonious flow of energy throughout the body, while staying grounded and present with the sensations of the body. Explore how to incorporate themes and intentions taking this transformative practice deeper into the subtle body and mind by integrating meditation and mindfulness techniques. Expand your repertoire of Yin Yoga postures by exploring the full spectrum of each asana. Beginning with the most supported and relaxed expression to finding the most depth and space within each posture.

Sunday we will integrate your weekend learnings through a comprehensive review and practice-teaching sessions. Receive personalized feedback and guidance to refine your skills as a Yin Yoga practitioner and teacher.
